To ensure a smooth and successful experience for both artists and collectors, we have established the following conditions for artists. Please review them carefully and become familiar with them:
- Artwork Submission:
- Artists must submit original contemporary artworks that they have created themselves.
- We encourage a wide range of art forms, including but not limited to paintings, sculptures, installations, mixed media, digital art and conceptual works.
- Artwork must demonstrate a contemporary aesthetic and reflect innovative ideas, techniques or approaches.
- Artwork must be of high quality, properly photographed, and accurately represented in terms of color and condition.
- Copyright and Ownership:
- Artists must hold the copyright and intellectual property rights to their artwork.
- By submitting artwork, artists grant Galería del Sol a non-exclusive right to display and sell their work on the platform.
- The online gallery will not reproduce or use the artwork for any other purpose without obtaining explicit permission from the artist.
- Pricing and Sales:
- Artists are free to determine the prices of their artworks, reflecting their market value.
- The online gallery will apply a previously agreed commission to each sale made through the platform.
- Prices listed in the online gallery should be consistent with the artist’s prices elsewhere and consider online market dynamics.
- Artwork Description and Information:
- Artists are responsible for providing accurate and engaging descriptions of their artwork, including dimensions, medium, concept, and any relevant contextual information.
- Artists must also provide an artistic statement in English that provides information about their creative process, artistic vision, and the conceptual underpinnings of their work.
- Shipping and Packaging:
- Artists are responsible for securely packaging and shipping sold artwork to buyers at the time of sale.
- It is crucial to use appropriate materials and methods to ensure the safe delivery and preservation of the artwork’s integrity. Insurance is recommended, although it is not mandatory.
- Artists must consider the shipping cost included in the final price of the work. This applies to Europe, the UK and the US. For other destinations, the final customer may be charged an additional shipping fee after quoting the chosen transport provider. Any additional fees, such as customs, must be paid by the recipient at the destination.
- Communication and Responsiveness:
- Artists must respond promptly to inquiries, notifications and questions from the online gallery and potential buyers.
- Timely and professional communication helps build trust and improves the overall experience for all parties involved.
- Artists who do not respond promptly to our inquiries, sales notifications, or shipping delays may frequently be banned from our website.
- Professional Conduct:
- Artists must maintain professionalism, respect and integrity when interacting with the online gallery, its staff and collectors.
- Any conflict or concern should be addressed constructively and respectfully, promoting a positive environment for all.
- Gallery Promotion:
- Galería del Sol is committed to actively promoting artists and their artworks through various marketing channels, including social media, newsletters and curated exhibitions.
- Artists are encouraged to actively participate in promoting their own work and the gallery online through their personal networks and social media platforms.
If you agree to the above terms, please follow the steps below to submit your request and our team will review it carefully and respond to you within 48 hours. Please note that incomplete requests will not receive a response.
After careful review of your submission by Galería del Sol, we endeavor to respond to your request within 7 to 10 business days and, if accepted, we will send you our collaboration agreement along with other instructions as necessary. In case you have not received any response from us within 2 weeks, it means that your application has been rejected at this stage or we are unable to process your application due to high volumes. Please try to apply again in the future with a new portfolio.
We are excited to collaborate with you and help you showcase your art to a wider audience. This document will be reviewed periodically by our staff and we are open to listening to artists to improve our working collaboration. As an artist, you will always receive updates if conditions change.
